From the very beginning, Hitler had his mind set on training the new generation of Germans to carry on the work of the Third Reich and inherit the legacy of National Socialism. To this end, he sought to establish a structured program, required of all young Germans, which would produce physically fit, disciplined, fearless, and dedicated youth. The result was the Hitler Youth Program, a youth organization whose ultimate goal was to ensure that Germany's children would grow to be Nazis, and very capable ones at that.

-Adolf Hitler
